  2.  This CD-ROM contains geochemical data for the conterminous                      
  3.  Western United States collected during the Hydrogeochemcial                     
  4.  and Stream Sediment Reconnaissance (HHSR) survey of the                         
  5.  National Uranium Resources Evaluation (NURE) program.  The                      
  6.  data are from the National Geochemical Data base maintained                     
  7.  by the USGS.  Samples were collected from 153 quadrangels (1                    
  8.  X 2 degrees) in 1976-80.  There are nearly 400,000 records                      
  9.  representing four main sample types: stream sediments,                          
  10.  soils, surface water, and ground water.
